About
Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer
A bit on my education and background... I fast-tracked my academic journey through a joint PSU-OHSU program, earning a BS in Computer Science and a Master’s in Bioinformatics & Computational Biomedicine in just five years. This unique experience gave me the invaluable opportunity to immerse myself in the realms of both computer science and Bioinformatics (Biology/Molecular Biology , Chemistry, Statistics, Algorithms/Programming) simultaneously, gaining insights from both disciplines and experiencing the best of both worlds.
My work today centers on designing AI systems and data infrastructure for biomedical research, with a focus on task-oriented AI agent orchestration that supports real-world scientific workflows at consortium scale. My background includes hands-on bioinformatics analysis, machine learning, and embedding-based methods, with experience spanning pathway-driven druggable genome research, scRNA-seq analysis + ReactomeFIViz single-cell pipeline, and DREAMChallenges analysis/workflows.
I'm especially drawn to clinical actionability, helping research and clinical decision-making come full circle to improve patient outcomes in early detection, cancer research, and clinical trial environments.
Outside of work, you'll find me paddle boarding, biking, gardening, exploring art and nature, or curled up with a good book. I cherish spending time with my daughter, whose curiosity and perspective inspires me every day.
